BATAVIA - Batavia singer-songwriter-guitarist Brent Persia will celebrate the release of his first studio album on Tuesday.

Persia will perform some selections from his self-titled disc beginning 8 p.m. Tuesday at Center Street Smokehouse, 20 Center St. He will also perform some popular cover songs and be joined by a surprise guest acoustic guitarist or two.

Persia has performed regularly in Western New York since 2005 as an independent solo acoustic act.

The seven-song album, available at the release party, contains all original songs. Persia recorded himself play many different instruments for the album, including acoustic and electric guitars, piano, keyboards and drums.
